Ryfylke winds through the fjord and mountain hinterland east of Stavanger, the same massif that holds the Pulpit Rock and Kjerag. The route passes the broad Sandsfjord, the Høse bridge arching over the Suldalslågen salmon river and the steep climb toward Røldal. It is a long, varied drive that trades crowds for depth.
