From Loen, the road follows the impossibly blue Lovatnet deep into Lodalen, ending near the Kjenndalsbreen glacier tongue. The lake's beauty hides the memory of two rockslide disasters in the early 1900s. A short toll road and an easy walk bring you close to the ice.
