Heading north from Kokelv to the fishing town of Havøysund, this road crosses bare, wind-scoured tundra where reindeer graze and the sea is never far. Snøhetta-designed rest areas punctuate the route with clean concrete and timber forms that frame the emptiness rather than compete with it. Past 70° north, this is genuinely the end of the road.
