Hardanger is the gentler, blossoming face of fjord Norway, in May the slopes above the water are white with fruit trees. The route links the fjord arms with the high Hardangervidda plateau, climbing to Vøringsfossen, where the river drops 180 metres into the Måbødalen gorge. A new stepped path and footbridge let you trace the cliff edge around the falls.
