The drive from Olden along Oldevatnet climbs into Briksdalen, beneath waterfalls and the hanging Briksdalsbreen glacier, one of the most accessible arms of mainland Europe's largest ice cap. A short walk (or 'troll car') from the lodge reaches the glacier lake.
