An easy, family-friendly day north. Lillehammer pairs the 1994 Winter Olympics legacy, the ski-jump tower you can ride to the top of, with the huge Maihaugen open-air museum and a pretty pedestrian street. Skirt Lake Mjøsa on the way and in summer you can even catch the world's oldest working paddle steamer, the Skibladner.
